Forever Young

Forever Young!

Hey girls,
Okay, do you just love the pic attached!Someone sent this image to me with an attached joke that we'll choose not to post, but the photo made me laugh out loud in the most affectionate of ways.

I don't know who owns this seriously delightful face! Don't know what life her milky eyes have beheld; what stories lie within each beautiful deep crease; whether she's known heartache or joy, nor if the journey revealed in her thinning silver hair, is one of victory or not. All I know, is that she's turned up in my email box, with a tiara on her head and with room for all of us to ask a question - "what will life reveal of me if and when I reach her golden age?" (the joke suggested she'd lived a somewhat indulgent life and was only … wait for it … 35!!!!!)

Anyway, our bodies are temporal and whether we like it or not girlfriend, they're gonna fade, but what about our spirits? Are they going to fade or strengthen with the passage of time? Are they going to loose their innocent "child likeness" or will "child like faith" increase as we ourselves grow in the wonder of who God our Father truly is? Will our spirits heighten in sensitivity to His Spirit, or will we become dull of ear, hard of hearing, lethargic, immoveable?

Personally, I have no delusions regarding the aging process. Age comes to all of us and we can navigate it with or without wisdom and grace, but it's my spirit that intrigues me more. With each passing day I want to grow stronger in the knowing and revelation of who this God truly is. With each passing day I want to grow more sensitive to the Holy Spirit who is given to be our faithful and loyal travelling companion. With each passing day I want to align more tangibly with His heart for this crazy planet that teems with His humanity.

So what's the purpose of my slightly romantic, poetic rambling? Just want to encourage whoever opens and reads this, to NOT WASTE one precious day that now exists between us and that Day when we will all stand before Him. Who knows how "far away" or how "soon" it is. That really doesn't matter, what matters is TODAY and how we each steward today.

Isaiah 55 in the Message is lovely. I laboured it at Colour this year. Speaking of God's words that water the earth, He says "So will the words that come out of My mouth not come back empty-handed.They'll do the work I sent them to do, they'll complete the assignment I gave them". I'm praying that every word He speaks over our collective lives will accomplish its mission … and that in turn, every word of life (or prayer) that proceeds from our mouths over others will also accomplish its mission! Hopefully right now a few "amens" are being whispered out into the atmosphere!

OK – so if you are one of my local Hillsong Sydney Sisterhood girls, I really hope you will position yourself at Sisterhood THIS THURSDAY! As you would know I've been in Europe recently with both Colour London and Kiev, and I want to share with you some moments that I think are critical to who and what we are about as a Sisterhood! Plus, I've missed ya beautiful faces up close and personal!

Have a fabulous week everyone. Be safe, be strong, be blessed!!!
